Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards Author Profile - Beckwith and Fisher have been honored twice, in 1981 and again in 1991, with the prestigious Anisfield-Wolf award recognizing books that have made important contributions to our understanding of racism and our appreciation of the rich diversity of human cultures. In 2011, their book African Ceremonies was again cited as an important resource on the topic of cultural diversity.
